The Seattle Kraken signed defenseman Ryker Evans to a two-year contract worth $2.05 million per season, the team announced Monday.

Evans was a restricted free agent and Seattle's final player without a deal for the 2025-26 season. He'll be an RFA when his new contract expires.

The 23-year-old just finished his first full NHL campaign, registering 25 points in 73 games while averaging over 19 minutes per contest. Evans was also chosen for Canada's World Championship roster after the Kraken failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Seattle selected Evans in the second round of the 2021 draft. He's played the second-most NHL games (109) among all of the Kraken's draft picks since they entered the league.

The Kraken have nearly $4.6 million in cap space left over after signing Evans, according to PuckPedia.
