Tanev returned to action Saturday after a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury that many suspected to be a concussion.
He was evaluated at a hospital overnight and discharged Sunday morning, the team announced. Toronto returns to action Monday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Michkov was initially assessed a major penalty but it was reduced to a minor upon review.
Tanev is Toronto's top shutdown defenseman. He's notched one assist in seven games this season while averaging just under 18 minutes per night.
The Maple Leafs beat the Flyers 5-2.
