There will be baseball under the roof in Toronto on Tuesday.

The Toronto Blue Jays announced they have been cleared to play Tuesday's doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals at Rogers Centre following a "thorough investigation" of the stadium's retractable roof, which was damaged by falling ice on Monday.

Toronto Police told the Blue Jays earlier on Tuesday that there are no longer any safety concerns in the area. Shortly afterward, the team confirmed the games will go on as scheduled.

As a result of the weekend ice storm that hit Toronto, chunks of ice fell off the CN Tower, which is located next to the Blue Jays' home, leaving a hole in Rogers Centre's roof on Monday afternoon. Though some stadium workers braved the elements and crawled up the roof to fix the hole, the incident still forced Monday night's series opener to be postponed - the first time that's happened at the retractable-roofed ballpark since 2001.

When Tuesday's doubleheader kicks off at 3:07 p.m. ET, it will mark the Blue Jays' first action since Friday, as two of their three games in Cleveland were also rained out.

Jaime Garcia will start Game 1 of the double dip for Toronto, opposite the Royals' Eric Skoglund. Danny Duffy and Joe Biagini will battle in the nightcap.
