Roma's Rudiger undergoes knee surgery
Roma defender Antonio Rudiger underwent surgery Saturday to repair his cruciate ligament injury.
The 23-year-old was ruled out of Euro 2016 after tearing his ACL during a training session with Germany.
Germany manager Joachim Low called up Bayer Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah as a replacement, while Rudiger made plans for his rehabilitation.

Roma had already decided to activate the €9-million buyout option on Rudiger, who spent the season on loan from Stuttgart. Chelsea had reportedly expressed interest in the player, with incoming manager Antonio Conte an admirer, but any move has now been put on hold.
He racked up 30 Serie A appearances and scored twice for the Giallorossi as they finished third in Italy's top flight.
