Coman suffers ankle ligament injury
Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman suffered a left ankle capsule ligament injury Wednesday and will be sidelined for an unspecified spell after going down in training and being stretchered off by the team's medical staff.
Coman suffered the injury while challenging for the ball with defender Javi Martinez and club captain Philipp Lahm says the injury looked somewhat concerning.
"He was lying there and was obviously in pain, which is never a good sign," Lahm said, as quoted by AFP. "I don't know if there was contact with (Martinez) or if he just landed awkwardly, but it didn't sound good in any case."

The 20-year-old, on loan from Juventus, was sent to the Bayern treatment room and assessed by club doctor Dr. Volker Braun. He confirmed the diagnosis, which rules Coman out of Bayern's 2016-17 Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen on Aug. 26.
Coman could potentially miss many more fixtures this season as he recovers, and the Bavarians would certainly miss his presence - the Frenchman played a key role last season, making 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals, and recording 12 assists.
He joined the club on loan from the Turin-based Italian giant, and reports earlier in the day had linked Coman to a permanent move. Club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told L'Equipe "a transfer is imminent," as translated by ESPN FC's Stephan Uersfeld.
For his part, Coman is also pushing for a permanent move.
"I would like to stay," Coman told Kicker. "When I arrived, it was my intention to stay for a longer period. Bayern Munich are one of the best teams in the world and I want to play here for many, many years."
