Report: Chelsea places £25M price tag on Oscar as Inter plans bid

Inter Milan has identified Chelsea midfielder Oscar as a possible transfer target.

According to Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard, the Italian club is said to be in the process of planning a bid to sign Oscar - who joined Chelsea in 2012 after Inter failed to match the £25-million paid to Brazilian side Internacional.

Though Oscar has failed to start a Premier League match for the last two months, Chelsea is hoping to recoup the money it paid four years ago and will demand a minimum £25-million transfer fee.

Inter is believed to be interested in a move for the 25-year-old this January, but is resigned to the fact that Chelsea may not want to sell Oscar - whose contract with the Blues doesn't expire until 2018 - until next summer.

His drop in playing time is largely credited to Antonio Conte's arrival and the Italian manager's preference to play Nemanja Matic, N'Golo Kante, Pedro, and William in midfield.

Oscar has been held without a goal through seven league appearances thus far.
