Report: Arsenal rejects Inter's approach for Mustafi
Inter Milan will have to improve its efforts in order to pry away Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.
Arsenal is understood to have rejected the Italian's side's approach for a possible season-long loan deal for Mustafi, according to Sky Sports.
Inter is reportedly eager to add to its defensive ranks, and is expected to return with an offer to buy Mustafi, who joined the north London outfit last season from Valencia in a transfer that could still reportedly rise to £35 million with add-ons.
The report suggests Arsenal will only consider selling the 25-year-old if it can recoup most of the transfer fee paid to the La Liga side.
Before news of Inter's apparent interest, there had been no reports of unrest from either the Gunners or the German international.
Despite missing out on Arsenal's first match of the Premier League season, Mustafi is expected to play an integral role in the team's defensive scheme after a debut season in England that saw him make 26 league appearances.
