AC Milan's season hits another low at Hellas Verona
The draw at Benevento Calcio was one thing. This was another.
Hellas Verona beat AC Milan 3-0 at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Sunday, two days after UEFA rejected the Rossoneri's request for voluntary agreement. The goals were tallied by Antonio Caracciolo, Moise Kean, and Daniel Bessa, marking the Gialloblu's third victory of the Serie A season.
Milan defeated Verona 3-0 in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday, but December is proving to be a month to forget for the Rossoneri. Following the appointment of Gennaro Gattuso as manager, the club became the first to surrender points to Benevento in Serie A as Alberto Brignoli, a goalkeeper, scored a equaliser in the 95th minute. Then came a 2-0 defeat at NK Rijeka in the Europa League.
The UEFA Club Financial Control Body's Investigatory Chamber decided not to conclude a voluntary agreement with Milan on Friday, declaring that "there are still uncertainties in relation to the refinancing of the loans to be paid back in October 2018 and the financial guarantees provided by the main shareholder."
