Italy open Euro 2024 title defence with win over Albania

Italy came back from conceding the fastest goal ever scored at a European Championship to beat Albania 2-1 in the holders' Euro 2024 opener on Saturday.

Alessandro Bastoni cancelled out Nedim Bajrami's opener after just 23 seconds for Albania before Nicolo Barella scored the winner to move Italy second in Group B behind Spain.
