Coach angry after Milan missed 2 penalties meant for Pulisic
Coach Paulo Fonseca was upset after AC Milan missed two penalties that should've been taken by the team's designated penalty taker, Christian Pulisic.
Fiorentina goalkeeper David De Gea saved Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham's spot-kicks in both halves of Sunday's 2-1 loss in Florence.
"Our designated penalty taker is Pulisic," Fonseca said postgame, according to ESPN. "I don't know why the players changed their minds. I have spoken to them and told them that this can't happen again."
Pulisic scored in the second half to level the match and bring his season tally to six goals in all competitions. But Albert Gudmundsson scored 13 minutes later to seal the win for Fiorentina.
He was substituted in the 81st minute, with Fonseca adding that the United States star was dealing with a flexor issue last week.
