Chile international Vargas joins Valencia on season-long loan
MADRID, Jan 23, 2014 - Chilean international forward Eduardo Vargas will join Valencia on loan from Napoli until the end of the season, the Spanish side confirmed on Thursday.
"I am very excited by this new goal in my professional sporting career," Vargas said in a statement on the Valencia website.
"I am very proud that a club as important as Valencia has placed so much interest in me and now I am only thinking about repaying that confidence with good performances."
Vargas joined Napoli from Universidad de Chile in 2012, however he spent a large part of 2013 on loan at Brazilian side Gremio.
Capped 27 times by his country, Vargas is expected to be part of the Chile side that will take on Spain at the World Cup later this year.
