Guarin asks for Inter 'clarity'
MILAN, Jan 31, 2014 - Colombian Fredy Guarin launched an emotional Twitter plea for "clarity" from Inter Milan as speculation continues that the midfielder has been put on the market against his wishes.
Guarin was the subject of a proposed swap deal last week involving Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic which collapsed at the 11th hour.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has insisted he does not want to leave the Nerazzurri, but a message posted on his Twitter account on Friday suggested he may yet leave the club.
"I'm asking the club for clarity, for myself and for my agent," Guarin said.
"It is you, not I, who has put me on the market. I'm relaxed and happy here and I thank the fans for the love and support they've given me.
"If I have to go, the club and fans will be forever in my heart. If I stay, I will give everything I can to Inter."
The plea comes 10 days after reports said Guarin was unsettled at Inter and had been personally pushing for a move to Juventus.
