AC Milan's Robinho hopeful of transfer to Orlando City
Robinho could be the second Brazilian to join Orlando City for the team's debut season in the MLS during the 2015 season.
Following Kaka's move to the MLS side at the beginning of July, AC Milan vice-president and CEO Adriano Galliani said the Italian club are in negotiations with Orlando City after acknowledging the 30-year-old was keen on a move to the United States.
Speaking at a press conference to introduce the club's new signings at Casa Milan on Friday, Galliani had this to say about the Brazilian:
Robinho wants to go to the American MLS. The negotiations with Orlando have begun. They want Robinho, but we’re not close to concluding the deal. The relationship with Robinho remains excellent though and it is just one of the many negotiations that are ongoing.
Robinhio's been with the Rossoneri since 2010, scoring 25 goals in 108 appearances. After leaving Santos in 2005, he played for Real Madrid and Manchester City before he was loaned back to Santos during the Jan. 2010 transfer window.
Orlando City officially signed former Ballon d'Or winner Kaka on July 1 as their first ever designated player. Kaka played with Robinho last season with AC Milan before his contract was terminated at the end of June.
