Fiorentina's Micah Richards sidelined for 10 days with thigh injury

Sitting 10th in the Serie A table, Fiorentina were dealt a blow on Friday as Micah Richards has been sidelined with a thigh injury.

Richards, who has only appeared in two of Fiorentina's league fixtures this season, was diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of the biceps femoris muscle after being forced to exit Thursday's Europa League fixture against Dinamo Minsk. It will be around 10 days until he can resume training.

Although the English defender has already started a recovery program, he'll be unable to play in Fiorentina's clash against Inter Milan on Sunday.
