Mario Gomez claims he's not interested in Barcelona move
Sorry, Barcelona. Mario Gomez isn't interested.
The German striker is apparently so happy with life in Fiorentina that advances from the Spanish giants have not made him reconsider the commitment he made to the Serie A club he joined in 2013.
When told of rumours linking him to the Catalan giants, Gomez told Rai Radio, "I'm in the sights of Barcelona? The rumours do not interest me, I want to stay in Florence.
"I came to Fiorentina to win, I have a goal that I have not yet reached."
Gomez, who joined Fiorentina from Bayern Munich, seems to have found his scoring touch, scoring three goals in his last two games, but still sports an underwhelming five goals through 21 appearances.
Unfortunately for Barcelona, the search for a middling striker continues.
