Carpi FC 1909 promoted to Serie A
Welcome to Serie A, Carpi FC 1909.
A scoreless draw versus F.C. Bari 1908 on Tuesday saw Carpi book their place in the top flight of Italian football for the first time in club history.

Carpi, who will be the 62nd team to have ever played in Serie A, have enjoyed a phenomenal season in Serie B. The club sit at the top of the table with 75 points through 38 fixtures, have scored a league-leading 57 goals, and have conceded a league-best 25 goals.
The accomplishment is made all the more impressive by the fact that Carpi play in the Stadio Sandro Cabassi, a stadium with a capacity of only 4,144.

As Serie A requires that competing sides have a stadium capacity of at least 20,000, it's unclear just where Carpi will play next season.
Cue the "Carpi diem" jokes.
