Misery loves company. That's the best way to describe the partnership between Juventus and left back Patrice Evra.
The French defender has enjoyed a long, successful, and lucrative career, and Juve is one of the most successful clubs in association football history, but when it comes to Champions League finals, Evra and his current club share one thing in common: a penchant for coming up short.
6 - Juventus have lost the CL/European Cup final 6 times, more than any other club. Painful. #UCLfinal #JuveFCB

Juve defender Patrice Evra set a new record by losing a 4th #UCLfinal - the last three defeats coming against Barcelona

That trend continued on Saturday, of course, with Juventus falling 3-1 to Barcelona in Berlin.
Misery is a strong word considering losing in the final first requires a club or player to navigate one of the toughest sporting tournaments on earth, but in the immediate aftermath of another defeat for Evra and Juventus, heartbreak surely reigns supreme.
Evra has also lost in the Champions League final with Monaco (2004 vs. Porto) and twice with Manchester United (2009 and 2011 vs. Barcelona).
