Describing Alessandro Matri's appearance Thursday as brief would be an understatement.
The Italian striker was brought on in the final stages of AC Milan's preseason friendly against Real Madrid and, as most players do, began barking out orders to his teammates.
His instructions, however, fell on deaf ears.
The final whistle sounded seconds after Matri stepped on the pitch, triggering a laugh from the 30-year-old in what was likely the shortest appearance of his career. It wasn't a complete loss, though, as Matri converted a penalty in the shootout.
