Report: Stuttgart defender Antonio Rudiger set for Roma medical
One of the the busiest Serie A clubs in the transfer market this summer is set to add Stuttgart centre-back and German international Antonio Rudiger to its ranks.
AS Roma has agreed to a €12-million deal plus a further payment next summer to bring in the 22-year-old, according to multiple reports. That comes in below the German club's initial €18-million asking price.
Roma fans greeted Rudiger upon his arrival at Fiumicino airport, and he is expected to take his medical by Tuesday.

The Giallorossi desperately needed reinforcements in defense after selling Alessio Romagnoli to AC Milan and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa to Lyon in the past two weeks.
Antonio Rüdiger is far from the finished product but his upside and potential is quite fantastic IMO. A great get by Roma.

The majority of the club's moves have come in attack, with Edin Dzeko joining Mohamed Salah and Iago Falque.
Rudiger is Roma's eighth signing this summer. He is currently rehabilitating from knee surgery and is expected to return to action before October.
