Milan - Serie A title hopefuls Roma continued to boost their backline with the capture of Brazilian left-back Emerson Palmieri.
Emerson, who played for Palermo last season in Italy's top flight, joins the Giallorossi on a season-long loan deal from his Brazilian club Santos.
Emerson becomes the Giallorossi's tenth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Iago Falque, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, Edin Dzeko, Mohamed Salah, Antonio Ruediger, Norbert Gyoembér, Lucas Digne, William Vainqueur and Ezequiel Ponce.
"Roma are a successful club and they will have one more warrior on the pitch. I will fight for every minute of every match I play in," Emerson told Roma TV.
