Hellas Verona acquires Matuzalem Francelino da Silva

Hellas Verona believes that Matuzalem Francelino da Silva can still contribute at the age of 35.

Winless through the first three matchdays of the Serie A season, the Butei signed the veteran midfielder to a one-year contract on Friday after he passed a medical.

The well-travelled Matuzalem, who has featured at Napoli, Piacenza, Parma, Brescia, Lazio, and, most recently, Genoa, will wear No. 27 at Hellas.
