A collective groan could be heard at Stadio Luigi Ferraris in the 37th minute of Genoa's 2-0 defeat to Juventus on Sunday.
In a moment for which he can't be blamed, 'keeper Eugenio Lamanna tallied the unluckiest of own goals, watching a header from Paul Pogba smash off the crossbar, deflect off his oncoming right leg, and roll into the back of the net.
Although Pogba missed out on getting his name on the scoreboard in that instance, he went on to convert a penalty in the second half as Juventus finally produced its first Serie A victory of the season.
