Report: Ciro Immobile to end loan with Sevilla, rejoin Torino
Ciro Immobile is set to make his return to Torino, where he shot to fame during the 2013-14 season as Serie A's top scorer, according to Sky Sport's Gianluca Di Marzio.
Immobile has failed to impress on loan at Sevilla from Borussia Dortmund, scoring just twice in eight La Liga appearances.
Now Torino, which has struggled for goals this season and plummeted to 14th place, is ready to welcome back the 25-year-old and end his two-year spell in the European wilderness.
Di Marzio believes all three clubs in question have reached an agreement, with Dortmund, which owns the rights to the player, giving the decisive green light. Immobile will reportedly join Torino on loan for the remainder of the season for €850,000 with bonuses, and there is an option to buy the Italy forward in the summer for a further €11 million.
Immobile initially joined Dortmund in the summer of 2014 as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski for €18 million. But he only managed nine league starts at the Bundesliga club, as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang eventually emerged as the successor to the Polish striker.
