Watford is back in the race for Fiorentina's Mario Suarez, despite acquiring Nordin Amrabat from Malaga on Monday.
It was initially reported that the Spaniard was in discussions with Watford two weeks ago over a loan spell but talks had since fallen by the wayside. However, Sky Sports' Lyall Thomas believes the Premier League outfit is now making renewed efforts to bring the midfielder to Vicarage Road.
Suarez has made just four league starts at La Viola since his summer move from Atletico Madrid, where he had worked under current Hornets' gaffer Quique Sanchez Flores. It is believed he has the ability to shore up Watford's midfield, with the club currently on a sorry run of four consecutive Premier League losses.
Suarez has four international caps to his name since his debut in 2013, and the 28-year-old would appreciate regular first-time football in anticipation of Spain's Euro 2016 campaign in France this summer.
