Mauro Zarate is reportedly set to leave Upton Park.
According to the Guardian's Marcus Christenson and Fabrizio Romano, Zarate is depart West Ham United after agreeing to a two-and-a-half-year deal with Fiorentina valued at £1.6 million (€2.1 million). The Argentinian forward has tallied three goals through 15 Premier League appearances this season, failing to convince Slaven Bilic that he deserves to be in the Hammers' starting XI.
Zarate, 28, joined West Ham in May 2014 after a brief return to Velez Sarsfield, the club where he was produced. Prior to that, he featured in Serie A, taking the pitch for Lazio and Inter Milan.
Fiorentina, fourth in the Serie A table, published a Periscope video of Zarate arriving in Florence on Thursday, and he is apparently expected to undergo a medical and join La Viola by Friday.
Both ESPN FC and AS reported Thursday that Zarate attracted the interest of Real Betis, but he preferred Fiorentina over the Andalusian club.
