Juventus will find itself in a familiar position for the next three weeks: without defender Giorgio Chiellini.
The oft-injured Italian is on the shelf once again, as the club announced Monday that Chiellini suffered a thigh injury in the 1-0 victory over Empoli this past weekend.
Tests "revealed a first-grade tear in the adductor longus muscle in his right thigh," reads a statement on the club's website. "The defender will be out of action for approximately 20 days."
Chiellini, 31, has featured in only 22 Serie A matches this season, as the veteran centre-back has been hampered by recurring calf problems.
