From worst ...

The Blues' season got off to a horrific start. Head coach Mike Yeo was fired after only 19 games, and St. Louis sat dead last in the NHL on Jan. 2 with a 15-18-4 record.

... To First

After bottoming out in early January, the Blues posted a league-best 65 points with a 30-10-5 record to finish the season, all while Craig Berube led them behind the bench. The team climbed to third in the Central Division, clinching a playoff spot on March 29.

Making history

The Blues became the only team in the expansion era to make the Stanley Cup Final after being in last place at any point following the 20th game of the season. They could now win their first Stanley Cup and end a 50-season drought. Their last title opportunity came in 1970, when Bobby Orr and the Boston Bruins swept them.

One more comeback?

After blowing a 2-0 lead and falling 4-2 to the Bruins in Game 1, the Blues'  mettle will be tested again. Can they come from behind once more to complete an improbable Stanley Cup run?
