Dominated 2002 draft class

Nash was taken first overall by the Blue Jackets in 2002, and he'd go on to blow away the rest of his draft class. Nash scored 198 more goals and 212 more points than anybody else while playing the second-most games (Jay Bouwmeester).

Immortalized in Columbus

Nash played his first nine seasons with the Blue Jackets. He remains the franchise leader in games played (674), goals (289), assists (258), points (547), shorthanded goals (14), power-play markers (83), and game-winners (44).

Achieved international greatness

With no Stanley Cup to his name, Nash's greatest successes came on the international stage. He helped Canada capture back-to-back gold medals at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics. He also led his native land to a World Championship in '07 and two silvers in '05 and '08, as well as a world juniors silver in '02.

Became youngest to win 'Rocket' Richard

Nash finished the 2003-04 season tied with Ilya Kovalchuk and Jarome Iginla with a league-high 41 goals to capture the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy. Nash completed the feat at just 19 years old, becoming the youngest player to ever win the award.
