Report: Olise set for Bayern move despite interest from multiple EPL clubs
Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has opted to join Bayern Munich this summer despite interest from various Premier League clubs, reports The Athletic's David Ornstein.
Chelsea, Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Manchester United were reportedly considering moves for the 22-year-old this summer, but the French international has decided to join Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich.
The German club is expected to complete a deal with Crystal Palace when the transfer window opens, Ornstein adds. Bayern are understood to have already contacted Palace to work out a deal.
Chelsea reportedly abandoned their pursuit due to the financials required to complete the transfer. Newcastle, meanwhile, approached Palace about the winger, but will now have to look elsewhere.
Olise was close to leaving last summer to join Chelsea, but ended up committing to Palace for 2023-24 by signing a four-year contract to remain at Selhurst Park.
He had 10 goals and six assists in 19 appearances during his breakout campaign for Crystal Palace last season.
