Islanders GM on Ho-Sang: 'Enough with the bull----. It's time to grow up'
New York Islanders general manager Garth Snow didn't hold back when discussing the decision to return Joshua Ho-Sang to the OHL.
"Enough with the bull----," Snow told Newsday's Arthur Staple on Saturday. "It's time to grow up."
The Islanders sent Ho-Sang back to the Niagara IceDogs on Friday after the prospect slept in and showed up late to the first day of training camp.
Niagara head coach and GM Marty Williamson said the 19-year-old was "devastated" and "embarrassed" about having his bid to crack the NHL roster come to an abrupt end.
Williamson said the 2014 first-round pick's track record didn't give him much rope with the NHL club, and that the disciplinary measure had nothing to do with Ho-Sang's ability on the ice.
More details emerged following Snow's comments Saturday afternoon:
Little more info on the Ho-Sang situation: No one would comment on the record, but sounds as if this was not his first mistake w/ #Isles.

Ho-Sang had to be woken up Friday morning at the hotel by team staff while his teammates were already on the ice.

And before Ho-Sang was dismissed, had to run the stairs at the Coliseum for three hours as punishment. #Isles

Ho-Sang had been skating on a line with Islanders captain John Tavares and forward Anders Lee prior to the start of the main camp Friday.
