West Ham United's bid to build a squad befitting its new home in Stratford continues, after Gokhan Tore joins on a season-loan from Besiktas with an option to buy.
The winger reunites with Slaven Bilic, under whom he worked at his former club in the 2014-15 campaign. He has modest experience in English football given his sojourn in the Chelsea youth academy, but now has the opportunity to make his Premier League bow following his move to the Olympic Stadium.
"I am very happy to be at West Ham. I watched many games that they played last season and saw how passionate the fans are. That made me want to come here and I am looking forward to playing in front of them," said Tore.
"Slaven was also a big factor in me coming here and he is a great manager. He is the main man and knows me very well. I could not have said no to him.
"He is the best manager I have worked under and he is like a father to the players. You feel like you are family."
Tore, 24, was deployed on the right flank for the majority of Besikta's Super Lig 2015-16 season, scoring four goals and laying on six assists in 24 appearances.
He will offer competition to the likes of Michail Antonio, the versatile Manuel Lanzini, and youngster Sam Byram in London.
