PHOTO: Feyenoord fans produce T-shirt calling Roma supporters 'stabbing scum'
Dutch police are on alert ahead of Thursday's Europa League match between Feyenoord and Roma at the De Kuip in Rotterdam, with concerns growing that supporters of the two clubs could clash following the events of last week's first leg in Rome.
Twenty-three Feyenoord supporters were arrested after rioting resulted in clashes with Italian police, damage to a fountain near the iconic Spanish Steps and streets lined with beer cans and bottles.
With roughly 2,700 Roma supporters expected to make the trip to the Netherlands for Thursday's contest, fears of retribution abound. Those concerns were exacerbated when photos began to emerge Wednesday of a T-shirt printed by Feyenoord supporters that mocks the events of last week, along with supporters of the Serie A side.

Pictured on the shirt is the Fontana della Barcaccia, the 17th-century fountain damaged in the aforementioned incident.
Rotterdam police spokesman Gijs van Nimwegen told the Guardian that police are taking extra measures to prepare for the match in light of last week's scenes in the Italian capital.
"We have known about this match for weeks and it already was considered a highest category risk," Van Nimwegen said. "We have increased the number of police involved from our original plans," he added.
