VIDEO: Bryan Ruiz tallies 1st goal with Sporting, opens scoring at Besiktas

For those who were wondering what Bryan Ruiz is up to these days, he's doing quite well at Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Thursday's Europa League fixture between Besiktas and Sporting saw the Costa Rican forward tally his first goal since he joined the squad from Fulham in July. Ruiz opened the scoring by rocketing a left-footed shot past 'keeper Tolga Zengin in the 16th minute.

Note the deflection the ball takes off Andreas Beck.

Perhaps Ruiz's goal will persuade a club to activate his absolutely ridiculous €60-million buyout clause.
