VIDEO: Trabzonspor player tries to flip script on ref, promptly gets sent off
Meet Trabzonspor defender Salih Dursun, a man who apparently doesn't think before acting on his impulses.
Locked in a 1-1 draw with Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray on Saturday, Trabzonspor conceded a late penalty after Umut Bulut was fouled inside the area. Incensed by the call - and the fact that Bulut pleaded for it - Trabzonspor's Luis Cavanda came flying in and barged into the official.
He was immediately sent off. All relatively straightforward stuff.
Then Dursun came in, and things got interesting.
Amid the brouhaha, the referee dropped his red card, and the Turkish defender decided - much to our amusement - to pick it up and ironically show it to the official. Naturally, Dursun received his marching orders immediately.
Once the dust settled, Selcuk Inan stepped up to the spot, converted the penalty, and gave Galatasaray a 2-1 win over seven-man Trabzonspor.
87' - Salih Dursun also receives a red card and Trabzonspor are reduced to 7 men!
