Anthony Martial suffers injury during warm-up; replaced by Marcus Rashford
Anthony Martial was a late scratch from Manchester United's starting squad ahead of its Europa League clash with Midtjylland after sustaining an injury during warmup.
Marcus Rashford will make his debut for United after being added to manager Louis van Gaal's first team to replace the injured Frenchman up front.
United did not disclose the exact cause of Martial's absence, but various reports indicate the 20-year-old may have sustained a hamstring injury after he pulled up during training and pointed to the back of his leg.
It's the second game in which the Red Devils saw a member of the first team go down with an injury during warmups following David De Gea's exclusion from the team's FA Cup match against Shrewsbury Town when he suffered a knee injury.
Though the severity of the injury has yet to be determined, a potential stint on the sidelines will see United's lengthy injury list grow even more ahead of Sunday's crucial meeting with Arsenal in the Premier League.
Wayne Rooney, Marouane Fellaini, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, and Bastian Schweinsteiger are just a few of the players Van Gaal won't be able to include in his team sheet ahead of Sunday's encounter at Old Trafford.
