Czech Republic beat Denmark on penalties to reach World Cup

Czech Republic qualified for the 2026 World Cup with a penalty shoot-out victory over Denmark after their play-off final finished level at 2-2 on Tuesday.

The match went to spot-kicks after Denmark twice fought back through Joachim Andersen and Kasper Hogh to cancel out Pavel Sulc and Ladislav Krejci's goals for the hosts.
