Arsenal beat Sporting 1-0 in Champions League quarter-final first leg
Kai Havertz scored a late winner on Tuesday to give Arsenal an invaluable 1-0 lead to take into the return fixture of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Sporting Lisbon.
Maximiliano Araujo, for the hosts, and Noni Madueke both hit the bar in the first half, while Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi had a goal ruled out for offside in the second period, before Havertz struck one minute into added time in the Portuguese capital.
