Jumbotron collapses onto George Washington basketball court

The jumbotron at George Washington University's Charles E. Smith Center came crashing onto the court Tuesday.

The scoreboard was undergoing maintenance when it "dropped unexpectedly from its lowered position just above the floor," the university said on Twitter. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The United States women's national basketball team hosted Japan in an exhibition game at the Smith Center on Monday. The Washington Mystics have also been using the Smith Center as a temporary home during the WNBA playoffs, as Capital One Arena is undergoing renovations.
