Ohio State's McMahon entering transfer portal
Ohio State forward Cotie McMahon has entered the transfer portal, the school confirmed to ESPN's Alexa Philippou.
McMahon is a two-time All-Big Ten first-team selection, the 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, and an honorable mention for the All-America team.
She led the Buckeyes in scoring this season with a career-high 16.5 points while shooting 37.4% from three. The 6-footer also averaged 4.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals.
McMahon will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Ohio State finished with a 26-7 record this season, including a 13-5 mark in the Big Ten. The program was upset on its home court in the second round of March Madness by Tennessee.
McMahon contributed 17 points in what now looks to be her final game as a Buckeye.
Ohio State will also lose Taylor Thierry and Ajae Petty, as both starters have run out of collegiate eligibility.
