Paige Bueckers declares for 2025 WNBA Draft
UConn star Paige Bueckers is entering the 2025 WNBA Draft, she told ESPN's Rebecca Lobo.
Bueckers is widely expected to be the first player selected. The Dallas Wings hold the top pick in the WNBA draft.
Bueckers averaged 19.2 points, 4.8 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals in her final season with the Huskies. The former No. 1 prospect dealt with knee injuries in her sophomore campaign and missed the entire 2022-23 season after she tore her ACL during the offseason.
She bounced back strong after the injury, averaging 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals last campaign.
The Huskies will have Azzi Fudd return for her senior season next campaign.
No. 2 UConn faces No. 3 Oklahoma in the Sweet 16 on Saturday.
The WNBA draft will take place April 14.
