Watch: Bergeron sets up Marchand to open World Cup final scoring
Dan Hamilton / USA TODAY Sports
From zero to hero in under three minutes.
That was the Brad Marchand story early in Game 1 of the World Cup final after the winger - who took a penalty 20 seconds into the first period - opened the scoring shortly after being released from the penalty box.
The goal - deposited straight up into the roof of the net - was set up beautifully off a rush with Patrice Bergeron, an all too familiar sight for Boston Bruins fans.
