In photos: Day 1 at the Africa Cup of Nations

The Africa Cup of Nations kicked off in Gabon on Saturday with an explosion of colour.
Outside Stade de l'Amitie, Gabon's streets were the scene of political unrest, as a protest took place involving those who against the Africa Cup of Nations, seeing it as a distraction to the multitude of problems plaguing the country. But, inside the venue, the atmosphere was overwhelmingly festive, with supporters partying during Les Pantheres' draw against Guinea-Bissau and Cameroon's draw against Burkina Faso.
