Dele Alli could reportedly be in trouble after cameras exposed a middle-finger greeting.

According to the Guardian's Dominic Fifield, Dele could face disciplinary action from FIFA for an offensive gesture at Wembley Stadium. The English midfielder was caught by cameras making a one-finger salute during England's 2-1 win over Slovakia in 2018 World Cup qualifying, as the product of Milton Keyton Dons appeared to be frustrated after Clement Turpin, the referee, dismissed appeals for a free-kick.

Dele took to Twitter after the final whistle, clarifying that the gesture was meant as a joke between himself and Kyle Walker.

England manager Gareth Southgate admitted he didn't see what happened, saying: "I've not seen it but I've been made aware of it. Kyle and Dele were mucking about, and Dele's made a gesture towards Kyle. I don't know what the angle picked up by the camera is, so I don't know if that is clear. The pair of them have a strange way of communicating, but that's what they've said when it's been raised."

England will enter its penultimate 2018 World Cup qualifier atop Group F. The Three Lions will host Slovenia at Wembley on Oct. 5, knowing that a point will be enough to punch their ticket to Russia. The national team will then close out its adventure on Oct. 8, away to Lithuania.
