With the preliminary round of the 2018 world juniors set to begin, Canada defenseman Dante Fabbro has been activated after dealing with a pre-tournament lower-body injury, per TSN's Bob McKenzie.
Fabbro is one of Canada's seven returnees from last year's silver medal squad, and is expected to play a huge role on the club's formidable back end. Before his availability was confirmed, Fabbro was to be replaced by Josh Mahura.
In 18 games with Boston University this season, Fabbro recorded 12 points, and was recently named one of Canada's three alternate captains for the tournament.
