7 of 137 WNBA players test positive for coronavirus

Seven of 137 WNBA players tested between June 28 and July 5 tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, the league announced Monday.

Players who tested positive will remain in self-isolation until they "satisfy public health protocols" and have been cleared by a physician, according to a league email.

Players and staff for 11 of the 12 teams in the league are scheduled to arrive at the league's bubble at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, on Monday. The Indiana Fever have delayed their travel by at least five days as a precautionary measure due to the CDC’s close contact self-quarantine requirements.

The WNBA season is set to tip off July 24.
