Team USA beats Australia in women's hoops, advances to Olympic semis

The American women cruised to a 79-55 win against Australia in the quarterfinals of the Olympic basketball tournament, brushing aside the opposing national team with the largest cohort of active WNBA players.
Former WNBA league MVP and two-time Finals MVP Breanna Stewart paved the way to victory, scoring 23 points. Brittney Griner added 15 points and eight rebounds.
The Americans will face Serbia on Friday at 12:40 a.m. ET for right to advance to the gold-medal game.
