Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson has unanimously been named the MVP of the 2024 WNBA season, the league announced Sunday.

After receiving all 67 first-place votes from a media panel, Wilson joins Cynthia Cooper (1997) as just the second unanimous MVP in WNBA history.

It's Wilson's third career MVP honor, matching the record set by Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson. Wilson also won the award in 2020 and 2022.

Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier came second in voting while New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart totaled the third-most points. Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark finished in fourth.

Wilson's latest achievement caps off a historic individual campaign: The 28-year-old became the first player to eclipse 1,000 points in a single WNBA season, finishing with 1,021 in 38 contests - good for a league-best rate of 26.9 points per game on shooting splits of 51.8/31.7/84.4.

She also recorded 11.9 rebounds per contest - topping the league with a total of 451 - with additional averages of 2.8 blocks, 2.3 assists, and 1.8 steals. Her effort helped Las Vegas go 27-13 and end the regular season on a five-game winning streak to secure the fourth seed in the playoffs.
