Reese reveals WNBA salary doesn't cover her rent

Angel Reese is relying on more than just a WNBA paycheck to cover her monthly expenses.

While appearing on Instagram Live recently, the Chicago Sky rookie revealed that her WNBA salary of $73,439 isn't enough to cover her $8,000-per-month rent.

"I just hope you know the WNBA don't pay my bills at all," Reese said. "I don't even think that pays one of my bills. Literally, I'm trying to think of my rent for where I stay at. Let me do the math real quick."

After calculating what her rent amounts to annually, Reese joked, "I'm living beyond my means."

Reese recently launched her own podcast, "Unapologetically Angel," and has several endorsement deals with brands including Reebok, Amazon, and Bose. The 22-year-old will also be competing in the new Unrivaled women's basketball 3-on-3 league debuting this winter, where salaries will be in the six figures.
