All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell agreed to a new contract with the Indiana Fever for the 2025 season, the team announced Wednesday.

The pact is a one-year super-max deal worth roughly $250,000, according to team reporter Scott Agness.

Mitchell has been with the Fever since the club drafted her No. 2 overall in 2018.

The 29-year-old finished top-10 in MVP voting last season, leading Indiana to its first playoff appearance since 2016. Mitchell averaged a career-high 19.2 points on a personal-best 46.8% shooting in 2024.

"Kelsey has been a foundation of our franchise for many years, and we are thrilled to see her return to the Fever," said Fever president of basketball and business operations Kelly Krauskopf. "We value Kelsey's commitment to our organization, and we're excited to see her build off a phenomenal 2024, her best season yet. She is one of the best guards in this league and is a cornerstone to building a championship roster."

Mitchell ranks second in the Fever record books for points (3,923), threes made (558), and minutes (7,085) and is fourth in assists (649). The two-time All-Star led Indiana in scoring from 2019-23.

The Fever extended Mitchell a core qualifying offer on Jan. 16, meaning she could only negotiate with the team this offseason.

Mitchell will make up the Fever's backcourt alongside reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.
