Storm's Samuelson tears ACL

Seattle Storm forward Katie Lou Samuelson suffered a torn ACL in her right knee during practice Thursday, the team announced Saturday.
Samuelson was set to enter her sixth WNBA season and her second stint with the Storm.
The 27-year-old averaged 4.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists across 37 games in 2024 with the Indiana Fever.
Samuelson joined the Storm in free agency. She previously spent 2021 in Seattle and has played for the Chicago Sky, Dallas Wings, and Los Angeles Sparks in her career.
The UConn product's best season came in 2022 with the Sparks. She averaged a career-high 9.7 points and 1.9 assists while starting in 29 of her 32 appearances.
